Different organizations have different kits based on the specific needs and culture of the area the kits will be distributed and budget, but in general personal hygene kits will include:

This honor is available only to clubs inside the North American Division. For those outside the North American Division, use the Community Service honor instead.


This honor was developed in cooperation with Adventist Community Services.


Investiture Achievement Connection: This Honor is related to the Investiture Achievement requirements for RANGER Serving Others and RANGER Making Friends which require completion of Requirements #1, #2, #7, #8 and #9 of this Honor. If you are working on Ranger why not just finish this honor off and earn the patch.

2. Read Chapter 54 (titled “The Good Samaritan”) from The Desire of Ages by Ellen White and write a list of five key points in the chapter.

3. Explain to your instructor the following:

a. What is the name of the Adventist organization in your country that serves those in need? What kinds of services does it provide?

Outside the NAD, humanitarian services are provided by ADRA - Adventist Development and Relief Agency.

ADRA's work falls into six categories.

  • Responding to emergencies
