1. Satisfactorily pass the Red Cross – Water Safety Instructor Trainer or YMCA course equivalent.

This course will teach you to train others in the art of teaching swimming and water safety. This can be a rewarding career and an opportunity to start your own training business. Courses for becoming a trainer of instructors are not commonly found at your local pool. In the US, contact the Training Support Center at 1-800-RED-CROSS or support@redcrosstraining.org In other countries contact the headquarters of the local Red Cross to find out where you can get the required training.
