Is there a way to get the Wiki to understand that accented characters are not separate? For example, «Álbum de Recortes» (Scrapbooking) is listed at the bottom of the alphabetical list, when it should be listed with the others that begin with the letter A. This is probably because the code does not recognize it as equivalent to the letter A and puts it at the end. The same happens on the main index where the first letter is accented. --w126jep (talk) 13:50, 12 January 2015 (EST)

I have asked on the DPL site: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:DynamicPageList_%28third-party%29#Sorting_vs_Accent_Marks --Jomegat (talk) 18:05, 12 January 2015 (EST)
No answer there (yet), but I've had time to think about it. I have added an argument to Template:Honor desc/es called sortkey, and set it to "Album de Recortes" (note the A vs the Á). I can't think of a way to make it automatic, but any honors that have accent marks in them can be edited to use a non-accented letter in the sortkey, and that's how they will be sorted. It shouldn't matter where in the title it takes place, but I suppose the first letter is most important! --Jomegat (talk) 21:38, 14 January 2015 (EST)
Well, if it works. Maybe the forum will have an alternative. I've been checking when I can also. -- w126jep (talk) 22:35, 14 January 2015 (EST)
