I notice that you rename the translation tags to coincide with their requirement numbers. While I think this certainly makes sense, I don't think it actually affects the translation program. What I mean is, it doesn't seem to accept the renamed tag and seems to end up just going into the English part that needs translated. I mentioned this because I don't want you to think it is necessary to go through and spend time changing all the tags. The translation program automatically generates the tags once the page is marked for translation, they do not have to be put in manually. Either way is fine by me, anyway. -- [[User:W126jep|w126jep]] ([[User talk:W126jep|talk]]) 09:40, 9 May 2018 (EDT)

I wanted to encourage you to set up your User profile page. This would be the page that people are directed to when they click on your name, just to get to know you a little bit better. It'd be nice to just have a short summary of who you are and what your interests are also.

Currently, you don't have anything set up, which is why your name always appears in red. When I created my page, I basically just copied the wiki text from other profiles and inserted my info instead.

Welcome to the Wiki, Marc3! I am a Spanish translator for the wiki. I see that you added and translated to Spanish several of the answers for the Dinosaurs honor. It is exciting to have you helping! If you have any questions on how to do something, whether it be in English or Spanish, let me know! You can send me questions on my Discussion page. --w126jep (talk) 21:47, 2 April 2018 (EDT)

--w126jep (talk) 15:26, 4 April 2018 (EDT)

Translation tags

Hi, Marc,

I notice that you rename the translation tags to coincide with their requirement numbers. While I think this certainly makes sense, I don't think it actually affects the translation program. What I mean is, it doesn't seem to accept the renamed tag and seems to end up just going into the English part that needs translated. I mentioned this because I don't want you to think it is necessary to go through and spend time changing all the tags. The translation program automatically generates the tags once the page is marked for translation, they do not have to be put in manually. Either way is fine by me, anyway. -- w126jep (talk) 09:40, 9 May 2018 (EDT)

Only administrators have the ability to mark a page for translation (and also delete, rename or protect a page). If you need a page marked, just include the translate tags and let me know, or jomegat. Once it's marked, the software will automatically generate the tags (which is why you see the numbering in the tags so off). By the way, thanks for catching the Origami honor as not translated. I thought I had translated at least the requirements to every honor -- obviously I missed a few!
I would also suggest going into the archives of the Discussion page. The "archive" link is at the top of the Community Portal and kind of small, so it is easily missed. Around the middle of 2014 is when we started translating and messing around with the software; you can probably find a lot of information there about our trials and errors. User Profile Page

Hi Marc3!

Here are some user profiles that you can take a look at for ideas, or you can just put up whatever you wish: w126jep; Jomegat; Bluescifiworm

We'd love to get to know a little bit more about you! --w126jep (talk) 11:58, 25 May 2018 (EDT)

Great profile page! Awesome to know a little bit more about you! --w126jep (talk) 06:51, 24 July 2018 (EDT)
