Summary
Apatosaurus louisae, on display at the American Museum of Natural History. One of the oldest Sauropod mounts, this specimen for years had the skull of a different dinosaur attached, as no skull was found with the original bones. Apatosaurus was also commonly known as Brontosaurus, but the first name given is the name that remains in science, so Brontosaurus is not longer a valid term.
