Summary

Description A tap designed for connection to plastic tubing. These taps are driven into holes bored into the trunks of maple (Acer) trees in the late winter or early spring. Sap flows out of the tree, through the tap, and into the tubing. The tubing is routed to a large container to collect the sap which is then used for making maple syrup or maple sugar.
