A fixed star (from the Latin stellae fixae) is any celestial object that does not seem to move in relation to the other stars of the night sky. Hence, a fixed star is any star except for the Sun. A nebula or other star-like object may also be called a fixed star.

El cúmulo abierto de las Pléyades

Una estrella fija (del latín stellae fixae) es cualquier objeto celeste que no parece moverse en relación a las otras estrellas del cielo nocturno. Por lo tanto, una estrella fija es cualquier estrella con excepción del sol. Una nebulosa u otro objeto similar a una estrella también puede ser llamado una estrella fija.
