AY Honors/Biblical Language (Hebrew)/Overview
The most challenging requirement of this honor is probably this:
6. Submit a recorded reading of a Hebrew passage (five verses).
1. Individually or as a group, give at least five reasons why it is important to study the original languages of the Old Testament.
2. Memorize the Hebrew alphabet and vowels.
3. Sing the Hebrew alphabet.
4. Download the Hebrew version of Psalms 119 and encircle the Hebrew alphabet at the beginning of each verse of this chapter.
- a. What did you notice in Psalms 119?
- b. What reflection can you get from this observation?
- c. Do you observe this alphabet in the English translation?
5. Write and submit the Hebrew version of the Ten Commandments.
6. Submit a recorded reading of a Hebrew passage (five verses).
7. Memorize your favorite verse in Hebrew.
