A general term for a foundational drum pattern used as an excercise.
A '''drumline''' is a group of [[percussion]] players who play a variety of marching percussion instruments.  These instuments include but are not limited to the marching snare drum, the marching bass drum, 3, 4, 5, or 6 mounted tenor drums (also called tri's, quads, quints,or hex's) cymbals, tympani, bells, and a variety of smaller auxilery instuments.  They often perform in college and high school [[marching band]], or pep band or [[drum and bugal corps]].
