1. Have the Swimming 3 (Intermediate) honour.

2. Know and practice the following safety rules:

a. Never kneeboard at night.

b. Never kneeboard during an electrical storm.

c. Always wear an approved life vest.

d. Check to be sure the vest buckle is securely locked.

e. Demonstrate that you can undo the strap over your knees while upside down in the water.

f. Make sure the tow rope is in good condition.

g. Make sure the kneeboard is in working condition.

h. Have a spotter on the water craft.

i. Stay clear of objects, such as other skiers, swimmers, docks, or floating objects.

j. If a fall occurs, let go of the rope and raise your hand to signal you are ok.

k. Do not stand on the water craft while it is moving.

3. Know the following hand signals:

a. Speed Up.

b. Slow Down.

c. Turn.

d. Back to shore.

e. Cut Motor.

f. OK after all.

g. Stop.

h. All OK.

4. Get on the kneeboard in deep water. Execute a deep water start and get up on your knees with a full-line rope.


5. Successfully cross both wakes.


6. Know the different types of kneeboards available and the features of a kneeboard.
