Le premier couple, homme et femme, fut créé à l'image de Dieu comme le couronnement de la création ; il reçut le pouvoir de dominer le monde et fut chargé d'en prendre soin. Dès son achèvement, le monde était très bon et proclamait la gloire de Dieu.
