Any ladder purchase in the past 20 years or so will be covered with warning labels. Read them. In general, they will say the following:

#Do not climb a ladder unless it is stable, steady, and all its legs are on solid ground.

Repasar con su equipo las normas básicas de seguridad acerca del uso de las escaleras, herramientas manuales, cuchillos, y otras herramientas eléctricas usadas al completar esta especialidad. Demostrar precaución en todo aspecto de construir la carroza de desfile.*


Cuchillos

  • Mantenga las cuchillas afiladas. Un cuchillo sin filo es difícil de empujar a través de la madera, lo que requiere una fuerza adicional. Cuando la madera finalmente se corta, la cuchilla sigue adelante.
  • Empuje siempre la hoja lejos de usted y considere constantemente la dirección de la hoja.
  • Mantenga sus dedos alejados de la hoja en todo momento.
  • Cuando parte la madera con un cuchillo, no clave en la parte posterior de la hoja. Esto debilita el apego a la empuñadura y la hoja se deforma.
  • Cierre una navaja de bolsillo cuando no está en uso o cuando la lleva.

3b

Tener partes que se mueven mecánicamente (no incluyendo ejes, ruedas, cosas que se usan para transportar la carroza, etc.).

Estar involucrado en el diseño de la carroza de desfile. Como parte de su involucramiento:

Planificar por los materiales necesarios y delegar la recolección de esas piezas.



4b

Decorar la carroza de desfile por al menos seis horas.



4c

Estar involucrado de dirigir el desarrollo y construcción de al menos una porción de la carroza de desfile.

Entrar una carroza de desfile, no usada anteriormente, en dos desfiles. Una de las carrozas de desfile puede ser para una feria de Conquistadores o algo equivalente.
