This honour provides a solid understanding of topographical maps and the practical use of a magnetic compass. It does not address electronic systems such as GPS. The Challenging Part
The most challenging requirement of this honor is probably this:
- 4.3. Prove your ability in the use of a map and compass by following a cross-country course with at least ten given readings or control points.
