1. Lead other Bible Discovery honor earners in a significant time of prayer prior to studying or exploring the Bible. Hold each other accountable to praying for God’s guidance while completing this honor. Share answers to that prayer as a group.
2. Define or explain at least four of the following within a wisdom literature Biblical context:
- a. Psalm
- b. Proverb
- c. Song of Ascent
- d. Poetry
- e. Deliverance
- f. Prayer
- g. Salvation
- h. Forgiveness
- i. Counsel (especially to the young in the book of Proverbs)
3. In a sentence or two, describe the significance of each of the following individuals in Jewish religious history.
- a. David
- b. Solomon
- c. Author of Job
- d. Job
- e. Compiler of the Psalms
4. Read Job 1, 2, and 42 or listen/watch a narrative of the life of Job. From your study, develop a series of journal entries or news reports that explain the role of both God and Satan in the spiritual journey of a Christian (Great Controversy).
5. Memorize the main idea or illustrate meaningfully seven of the following passages.

7. Do one of the following:
- a. Prepare and share a presentation comparing and contrasting the role or character of God as displayed in two of the books of wisdom literature. Be detailed and specific.
- b. Write and perform a spiritual song based on a verse or passage from the wisdom literature.
8. Interview a pastor or teacher and ask him/her the following; then report on your findings to a group or instructor.
- a. What wisdom literature book do you find most interesting? Why?
- b. What do you see as the most important texts or passages in this book? Why?
- c. What difference has understanding passages in this book made in your spiritual journey?
- d. What selections from the wisdom literature would you suggest that I study? Why those selections?
