Overview

The Paralympic Games are a major international multi-sport event for athletes with physical disabilities or intellectual impairments. Pathfinders will learn that disabilities do not necessarily dampen or hamper the ability of others to have fun! They will search the Bible for miracle healings and also think about how to make their club more accessible to those who are disabled.

The Challenging Part

The most challenging requirement of this honor is probably this:

7. Do one of the following:

a. Visit an institution that works with disabled sports and find out:

i. The vision and mission of the institution

ii. How many people are benefiting from this work

iii. What are the biggest challenges

iv. How their program encourages the practice of sports

b. Attend a team sport event done by people with disabilities and report this experience.
