AY Honors/Fungi/Downy mildew

Downy mildew refers to any of several types of water mould that infect plants. In commercial agriculture, they are a particular problem for growers of potatoes, grapes and vine-type vegetables. Often known for the Irish Potato Famine in the 1940's.
