1. Tener la especialidad de Conciencia de los discapacitados en Australia.
2. Hacer una lista de 10 mitos y conceptos erróneos acerca de las personas con discapacidad y conocer los hechos sobre cada mito.
3. Participar en DOS actividades en las que simule distintas discapacidades de la lista que aparecen a continuación. Compartir su experiencia en un debate grupal.

Explain what advocacy is. What can we do to advocate for people with disabilities? Who is our advocate?
Do ONE of the following activities:
- a.
Participate in at least one accessibility modification project within your church, school or Pathfinder club that accommodates a person with a disability.
- b.
Propose an accessibility modification project for your church, school or Pathfinder club and present it to your leader.
- c.
Participate in a project to assist a person with disabilities, this should be approved by your leader and the person you are assisting.
6.
Do ONE of the following:
- a.
Investigate ONE disability and write or orally present a report about this. Include:
- What is the cause?
- What are the symptoms?
- How does it impact a person's everyday life?
- What adjustments can be used to help?
- b.
Investigate the history of ONE assistive technology that helps people with a disability (examples Braille trail, sign language, service animals, wheelchairs, speech-to-text etc.) and write or orally present your findings. Include:
- Who invented it?
- When was it invented?
- Has it developed from its original design?
- What disability or disabilities does this technology assist with?

Based on your learning of disabilities, list five things your Pathfinder club could do to be more accessible or inclusive of people with disabilities. What things do they already do to be inclusive of people with disabilities?
8.
Give a report sharing how your view of people with disabilities has changed while completing the Disability Awareness Australia - 1 and Disability Awareness Australia - 2 Advanced honours.
