AY Honor Camping Requirements
1. Spend at least 20 nights in a tent, and whenever possible, a few nights in a makeshift shelter that you built using materials available on site.
2. Know the fundamental principles of setting up a camp.
3. Know the camp hygiene rules.
4. Find an authorized camping location and list the equipment needed for a group of about twenty participants.
5. Be familiar with different types of tents and know how to choose the right model based on needs.
6. Be able to pitch, take down, and maintain the following types of tents:
- a. Dome (pole-supported)
- b. Inflatable
- c. Pop-up (2-second style)
- d. Teepee or A-frame (ridge tent)
- e. Large marquee or event tent
7. Be familiar with the camping regulations in effect in my country.
8. Know how to safely prepare, light, and maintain a campfire.
9. State the rules for respecting nature and the environment.
10. In the Bible, why is the sanctuary called the "Tabernacle of Meeting"?
