12. Make a list of ten species of wild birds that you personally have positively identified by sound out of doors, and describe or imitate these bird sounds as best you can.
Listen to the bird calls found in the Field Guide. Then listen for them in the wild. Birding often involves a significant auditory component, as many bird species are more readily detected and identified by ear than by eye.
