Overview

With Australia’s diverse landscapes and extensive network of natural areas, the possibilities for hiking are endless—whether you’re exploring well-maintained trails or venturing into remote wilderness areas.

This honour features a Great Australian Hike, the iconic Tasmania’s Overland Track and will delve into the rich history and natural beauty of the track, exploring its creation, key mountains, geology, and the pioneers who shaped the national park. You’ll learn about the trappers and early guides who navigated these rugged landscapes and gain a deeper appreciation for Tasmania’s wilderness.

So select your hike, grab your walking boots and gear, and get ready for an engaging and educational experience that culminates in hiking some of our Great Australian Hikes!
