There are many programs that can be used to meet this requirement. Some programs can be purchased at a store, and others can be downloaded for free (legally!) from the Internet. Some excellent programs that can be downloaded for free include OpenOffice (an Office suite with a word processor, spread sheet, presentation program, and drawing package), Firefox (a web browser), Thunderbird (an email program), and The Gimp (a photo/image editing program). All of these programs are of excellent quality and compare very favorably to their commercial counterparts. Best of all, they are FREE.
