Jam can be made from rose hips, the fruit of the rose bush. Gather 4 liters
of rose hips after the first frost and remove the black ends. Wash them well to remove any chemicals with which the roses may have been treated. Boil them in water until they are soft an mushy, and then press them through a colander to strain out the seeds and other large pieces.
