Use: This is used as an impromptu harness, however is not recommended today since there are commercially available pre-fabricated harnesses. This method is preferable to a single loop because it distributes weight across all the loops/wraps.
How to tie:
- To tie, wrap about 15 feet from the loose end of the rope around your body.
- Form a loop from the (non-loose) end of the rope (like a regular bowline) and slip it under the rope around your body.
- Thread the loose end of the rope through the loop, around the long end, and back through the loop (like a regular bowline).
