This honor builds upon the Native American Lore Honor and provides a deeper study of the cultures, foods, medicines, traditions, crafts, and present-day communities of Indigenous peoples of North and South America. It combines historical learning with hands-on cultural activities.

It expands understanding of Indigenous history, culture, technology, foodways, art, spirituality, and contemporary communities. It emphasizes learning through both research and hands-on experiences while encouraging respect for Indigenous cultural heritage and traditions.
