Step up to the plate with Pathfinder Baseball - a fast-paced, team-based sport designed just for Pathfinders! Whether you’re swinging a bat or cheering from the sidelines, this honour brings energy, discipline, and sportsmanship to life, building character both on and off the field.
Played with a bat and tennis ball (no gloves or helmets), it teaches strategy, coordination, and teamwork in a fun way. The field can be adjusted to suit different group sizes. Players rotate through attacking and defending roles, scoring points through skill and speed. Get your club moving, learning, growing and hit a home run for Jesus!
The Challenging Part
The most challenging requirement of this honor is probably this:
6. Skills and Demonstration
- a. Participate in at least three Pathfinder Baseball games in one go, following all safety and sportsmanship guidelines.
- b. Demonstrate proper batting technique and safe base running.
- c. Show how to play the roles of pitcher, catcher, batter, and bucket defender.
