Getting indices to show

I'm just not getting it. It could be a million tiny things or just one. I cannot make the indices to show in Spanish for the new divisions of the Master Awards. I've been tweaking here and there trying to see what I'm missing.

Let me know if you figure anything out, please --w126jep (talk) 03:04, 7 May 2015 (EDT)

One problem I see is that the switch statements in Template:Honor Master/es are backwards. The switch statement compares its argument (in our case, "master" with a list of words on the left. When it finds a match, it outputs the text to the right of the equal:

Consider this: {{#switch:{{{x}}} | A = apple | B = bear | nothing }} What is says in plain language is: If x equals A, then output "apple". Else, if x equals B, then output "bear". Else, output "nothing".

I think you need to reverse A and apple in Master Honor. I'd jump in and help out more, but I am slammed at work, and by the time I get home, I am exhausted. --Jomegat (talk) 08:31, 7 May 2015 (EDT)

OK, that wasn't it. I changed Category:Adventist Youth Honors Answer Book/Family, Origins, and Heritage Master Award/es to use the English name of the category, because that's what the Master Award/es template adds it to. Then I did a "null edit" (I added a space) to God's Messenger/es, and it began showing up in the index. I expect the database will catch up eventually, and the rest of them will show up too. --Jomegat (talk) 20:22, 8 May 2015 (EDT)
Awesome, I was going to say that the switch wasn't the problem; the switch function works exactly how I want, to get it to the English title and have the /es extension. I'll see more in detail what you did later and try to figure it out. I think I just need to learn a little more on how Categories work. --w126jep (talk) 22:19, 8 May 2015 (EDT)
