13. Do one of the following:
a. Assist in constructing a raft, using lashings. Take a five-mile (8.3 km) trip on a river with this raft.
A raft can be constructed using continuous lashing (as with the log bridge described previously). The logs should be no less than 25cm
in diameter. We recommend that the raft be accompanied by other watercraft, such as canoes or john boats. You should also carefully scout the river before committing the raft to it, ensuring there are no rapids.
