Overview
Signs, signals, symbols and icons of various kinds surround us in our environment. Recognizing them, understanding them and knowing how to respond to them appropriately not only enhances our quality of life but could actually mean the difference between life and death.
Providing the opportunity to study signs and symbols, discovering the messages in various areas of life, and teaching self-awareness and the messages we send to others allows Pathfinders to discover new levels of interaction with their friends, their community, and the world. It provides an avenue for better understanding of signs and symbols around them, including Biblical and spiritual symbols.
The Challenging Part
The most challenging requirement of this honor is probably this:
7. Read a parable from the Bible. Using signs, symbols or signals you have brainstormed, create a modern-day parable that communicates the same message as the Biblical parable.
