Overview

You know all about the outdoors, and now it's time to take that to the next level - become and outdoor leader. Learn how to share your knowledge and skills with others as you lead them to Jesus!

Investiture Achievement Connection: This Honor is related to the Investiture Achievement requirements for FRONTIER GUIDE Outdoor Living which require completion of this Honor or one of 4 other Honors not previously earned. As it requires earning most of the other optional honors, this is the best choice for the Pathfinder who has already earned most of the outdoor living honors.

The Challenging Part

The most challenging requirement of this honor is probably this:

6. Do the following in an outdoor setting:

a. Plan, organize, and do the teaching of one nature honor to a group of youth.

b. Assist in teaching camping skills required in any camping honor and/or AY Class requirements to a group of youth.

c. Determine where the nearest hospital is located.

d. Determine where the nearest assistance from the police or a park ranger can be obtained.
