:We can also upload videos here and link to them.  In that case, we'd put in the filename instead of the youtube identifier.  I've been thinking about making some, but I still just don't have the time.  If I do make any, I think it would be best to narrate them "off screen" - that would make for the most natural translation (we'd just need a replacement audio file).  --[[User:Jomegat|Jomegat]] ([[User talk:Jomegat|talk]]) 20:16, 13 March 2016 (EDT)

Can the linked YouTube videos in req. 1a be embedded into the wiki? I know there's a way to do it, but I don't know how. I think it would be relevant to have the video embedded directly instead of having to go to the link. I think it would be good to do in both the English and Spanish pages. --w126jep (talk) 19:58, 13 March 2016 (EDT)

Yes, I would like to find all the youtube links are replace them with embedded videos. Here's the syntax:

<HTML5video type="youtube" width="400" autoplay="false">UyscwDzcMXE</HTML5video>

The "UyscwDzcMXE" part is part of the video's URL following the ?v= - as in ?v=UyscwDzcMXE. We will want to find Spanish-language equivalents where we can, but it's not necessary in all cases. I've been adding some to the swimming honors that may not require translation.
We can also upload videos here and link to them. In that case, we'd put in the filename instead of the youtube identifier. I've been thinking about making some, but I still just don't have the time. If I do make any, I think it would be best to narrate them "off screen" - that would make for the most natural translation (we'd just need a replacement audio file). --Jomegat (talk) 20:16, 13 March 2016 (EDT)
I did not know it was possible to upload videos. Making videos would be a great way for the community at large to contribute also. If you do have time to upload your own videos, I wouldn't have a problem with providing translated audio. Sounds like a great project to just make the wiki better and better --w126jep (talk) 23:27, 13 March 2016 (EDT)
