1. Tener la especialidad de Ultimate.
2. Leer y entender las reglas y normas actualizadas sancionadas por la USA Ultimate Player’s Association [Asociación de los Jugadores de Ultimate de los EE. UU.] o UPA.
3. Mostrar capacidad y conocimiento de ambas posiciones de ofensiva y defensiva para jugar Ultimate.
4. Definir y jugar todas las posiciones en una defensiva de zona y saber cómo quebrar una zona:
- a. Copa (cup)
- b. Medios (mids)
- c. Profundos (deeps)
5. Mostrar capacidad de tirar el disco de las siguientes maneras:
- a. Pase rebote
- b. Pase de pala
- c. Martillar
6. Definir las dimensiones de un campo regular de jugar Ultimate y las zonas de anotación, y demostrar una habilidad de poner marcadores y conos.
7. Definir los siguientes términos y circunstancias:
- a. Tirarse (laying out)
- b. Quitar posesión (strip)
- c. Ladrillo (brick)
- d. Lanzamiento inicial (pull)
- e. Handler
- f. Turnover
8. As a team or individual, develop a plan to practice outreach while completing the requirements for this honor. Possible options should include the following:
- a. Post notes on bulletin boards and online, and place classifieds in newspapers inviting community participation
- b. Have prayer before and/or after each game
- c. Exhibit “Spirit of the Game” both on and off the field
- d. Encourage healthy lifestyle choices both on and off the field, and encourage appropriate behavior and language
9. Practice throwing/catching and offensive/defensive drills and learn how to play smaller scale versions of the game as practice with fewer players, including “Hot Box”.
10. Play three collegiate pick-up games or a sanctioned USA Ultimate league game.
11. Become a member of the Ultimate Player’s Association, http://www.usaultimate.org, or compete in a USA Ultimate-sanctioned tournament.
