The California state flower is the California poppy (Eschscholzia californica).
The California state bird is the California Quail (Callipepla californica).
The California state tree is the California Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens).
The state song is "I Love You, California", written by F.B. Silverwood and composed by A.F. Frankenstein.
The motto is "Eureka."
