6. Explore and apply basic web graphics skills:
- a. Learn how web graphics can be made small enough to load quickly on websites.
- b. Create and save the same image in three common web formats (like JPG, PNG, and GIF). Make sure each file is small enough to load quickly.
7. Build and maintain a functional website, alone or with a group (e.g. family, Pathfinder unit, church team) for three months, keeping it updated. The site should include at least four connected pages. It can be built using HTML, a website builder like Wix, WordPress, Google Sites, or similar.
Elements to include within the website:
- Navigable Menu
- Embedded Images (three properly used graphics formats)
- Clickable links
- Text in custom hex color (e.g. #0099CC)
- Header and Footer
- Responsive Design
The website should include:
- Homepage – Say what the site is for, include at least one image.
- Photo Gallery – Show real-life events or fun experiences from your group.
- Contact Page – Include a contact form and email address.
- Links Page – Share at least eight links to helpful or favorite websites (such as Adventist resources, Bible tools, or hobbies).
- (Optional but encouraged) If the site represents a Pathfinder club or youth ministry, include a calendar of upcoming events.
