Like many of the technological honors, the Internet honor design can become outdated quickly. The previous design had a cable looping around the acronym "HTTP", which stands for "Hypertext Transfer Protocol". The internet is mostly accessed by wireless nowadays and so the cable was eliminated from the design. An "S" was added after HTTP, which signifies "secure", as most websites now have extensive security protocols.
