d. Learn about a successful, famous or well-known individual with a disability. Identify what obstacles they faced to achieve success and how they overcame these obstacles.


4. Visit TWO of the following locations and conduct an accessibility survey for people with physical and invisible disabilities. Give FIVE examples of things that could be done to improve accessibility and FIVE things that make it friendly to people with disabilities.

5. Read the following Bible verses and discuss:

a. Leviticus 19:14
“Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the Lord.”

b. Romans 5:3-5
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

c. John 9:1-3
“As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, 'Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?¿ ¿Neither this man nor his parents sinned,' said Jesus, 'but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.'”

d. 1 Peter 5:10
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
