Therefore I changed the requirement to read "Know what <b>ornamental</b> shrubs are and discover at least one technique for decorating shrubs."  The original translation said "decorative" but an English Google search shows no one talking about decorative shrubs while the term ornamental is a very important concept in shrub selection for landscaping. Obviously the words are subtilely different but very close. JadeDragon (talk) 01:21, 7 July 2019 (EDT)

::The convenient thing about this honor is that it's no problem for anyone to earn outside of SAD since all they'd need is the advanced star, and those are readily available. That's a pretty good argument for why the NAD (or the GC) needs to either adopt it or adapt it.  I also wonder whether we even need to tag the insignia as "limited availability." --Jomegat (talk) 16:55, 7 July 2019 (EDT)

:::The tag goes on automatically since honor_desc reads it as SAD. I would keep it on anyway, just to get the point across that it's not NAD. This one could be presented, however, to the NAD, as they're looking to integrate more of the SAD honors. --w126jep (talk) 20:37, 8 July 2019 (EDT)

No one had worked on the answers for this advanced honor, so when I did it I found a small translation issue. I presume there are no "official" English requirements since this Advanced honor is from South America.

Therefore I changed the requirement to read "Know what ornamental shrubs are and discover at least one technique for decorating shrubs." The original translation said "decorative" but an English Google search shows no one talking about decorative shrubs while the term ornamental is a very important concept in shrub selection for landscaping. Obviously the words are subtilely different but very close. JadeDragon (talk) 01:21, 7 July 2019 (EDT)

The convenient thing about this honor is that it's no problem for anyone to earn outside of SAD since all they'd need is the advanced star, and those are readily available. That's a pretty good argument for why the NAD (or the GC) needs to either adopt it or adapt it. I also wonder whether we even need to tag the insignia as "limited availability." --Jomegat (talk) 16:55, 7 July 2019 (EDT)
The tag goes on automatically since honor_desc reads it as SAD. I would keep it on anyway, just to get the point across that it's not NAD. This one could be presented, however, to the NAD, as they're looking to integrate more of the SAD honors. --w126jep (talk) 20:37, 8 July 2019 (EDT)
