An explosion box is an origami box that pops open and “explodes” as soon as the recipient takes the top (or cover) off, revealing pictures, messages, and even gifts inside. It can be made in different sizes and layers. It is made from some basic materials (refer to question #4) and some simple origami techniques (refer to question #5), explosion boxes are surprisingly easy to put together and make. Enjoy the journey!

There are many themes of explosion box that you can make. For example, to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, engagements and others.
One uniqueness of the explosion box is the personalization aspect that makes it versatile. The possibilities to be creative really are endless. Pathfinders are encouraged to be creative and use personalized biblical themes such as: Creation Days, Fruit of the Spirit, Jesus’s Parables, Books of the Bible, the 12 Disciples, The Miracles of Jesus, Prophets in the Bible, etc. Or even about: My Church Family, My Family and Jesus, My School and My Friends, etc.
