I've seen this done right from attention to Parade Rest. While according to the Drill Manual, that would be incorrect, it seems more efficient at times. Just a note :) Bluescifiworm (talk) 21:33, 2 June 2016 (EDT)
- I bought a couple of copies of the NAD drill manual at the Atlantic Union Camporee. I'll see what it says. --Jomegat (talk) 23:33, 2 June 2016 (EDT)
- I have always been taught and have always taught that it is only directly after Parade Rest. I have been Pathfindering in more than four conferences from coast to coast & this seems to always be the case. w126jep (talk) 13:43, 3 June 2016 (EDT)
- Bleh, When I said Parade Rest, I meant straight to Prayer Attention. Lol. That will teach me to post things when tired. I know officially its Attention > Parade Test > Prayer Attention. I have just seen it done Attention > Payer Attention in a few places. For the life of me I cannot remember where, though.
- Yes, the Drill Manual does indeed state that Prayer Attention can only be commanded from Parade Rest. I guess I've been doing it incorrectly all these years, because I always call it from Attention (and will likely continue to do so, correct or not). Oh well. --Jomegat (talk) 14:22, 5 June 2016 (EDT)
- Interesting because I have been at events where there are several clubs together for a fair or a camporee, and the leader up front is getting ready to pray. He or she will call the Pathfinders into Attention and then go straight to Prayer Attention. Some clubs will comply while others will be heard shouting "As you were, sir!" The leader just goes straight into the prayer and it makes for a very awkward situation ... w126jep (talk) 17:44, 5 June 2016 (EDT)
- Yeah, It was just something that I've noticed in a few places. Technically, it's incorrect... But *shrugs* Bluescifiworm (talk) 13:39, 19 June 2016 (EDT)
