Read the story here Matthew 14:15-21 or below:
15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

There are a number of good articles on the Canadian Foodgrains Bank site. Since the articles are short and fit together, we suggest you read several of them. The CFG is a Christian organization and partner with ADRA Canada.
Then remember to discuss what you read.

This requirement can be fulfilled during the same time you volunteer at the food bank or soup kitchen. Be sure to arrange the interview before hand and don't just spring questions if you want to make the discussion meaningful.
4
Alternate Requirement: Assemble a food box for an organization that distributes food to those in need.
Many Pathfinder clubs in North America traditionally collect canned goods on Halloween. You can organize the collection very simply through a Sabbath School class, your parents work, your school, or any other way you can think of. Some people will put on a concert or other event with the entry "fee" a canned food item for the food bank. Be very clear about were the food is going to and it will be easy to collect up some food.

Alternate Requirement: Prepare and distribute six sack lunches to the needy or homeless.
With so many people lacking adequate food, there are plenty of opportunities to serve. This activity puts a human face on hunger.
