Overview

This is an introduction to the outdoor activity of geocaching—a real-world “treasure hunt” using GPS.

Youth will learn how to use GPS or apps to find hidden containers (geocaches), understand different cache types and terms, follow safety rules, and actually go out and locate a few caches themselves. The goal is to combine technology, exploration, and outdoor adventure while learning basic skills and responsibility.
